Digital Video Recorders (D.V.R.’s) perform real time monitoring, recording, playback and provide remote network access. Typically, these recorders can accommodate 4, 8, 16, 24, or 32 cameras.
A remote access software is included which gives the end user the ability to view all cameras remotely via their smart phones, tablets, laptops, and PC’s. All D.V.R.’s come with built in hard drives which automatically overwrite themselves after a specific time frame which makes for truly free maintenance.
The amount of recording days is correlated to the size of the hard drive, compression ratios, footage traffic, etc., All of our D.V.R.’s can instantly burn video clips or photos for personal or evidentiary purposes.
Network Video Recorder
Network Video Recorders (N.V.R.’s) perform real time monitoring, recording, playback and provide remote network access. N.V.R.’s are distinct from Digital Video Recorders as their data input comes from a network rather than a direct connection to a video capture card. N.V.R.’s record IP cameras that transmit data over a network cable (instead of a coaxial cable) either by way of a network switch or router.
